EastWest Yoga is an Auckland studio offering hot bikram, vinyasa, and yin classes to urban yogis from all walks of life. When Kirsty Van de Geer and mother-daughter duo Sheryn Gieck and Amelia McCombie took over the studio’s management in 2017, they asked ClairObscur to define their new brand direction and visual identity.
ClairObscur’s Jen Raoult met the challenge with a full-package rebrand, built upon three foundational themes: nature, nurture, and community. Working alongside a team of creatives including Wolf Agency and Kate Hursthouse of ScribbleMeThis, ClairObscur completely reimagined the way EastWest shared its ethos online.
As the project’s creative director, Raoult led the development of the brand’s ethereal new colourways and evocative new brand mark. After introducing simpler, more intuitive UX design to EastWest’s website, we also rolled out all-new collateral for EastWest, and produced fresh visual content for their social channels. Suffused with quiet light, Raoult’s own photography now welcomes EastWest’s guests to the studio’s online home.
